Carolina Heat Pipe Supports Beauty in World

Building at night with water in front of it and reflections of the lights

Or at least in Tampa, Florida.

Carolina Heat Pipe partnered with Tampa Bay Trane to install a new HVAC system in the Tampa Museum of Art building. The new HVAC system was part of a renovation for the building with the key goal of controlling high humidity.  High humidity is essential to the preservation of artwork!  High humidity can have a major impact, causing physical deterioration such as staining, decay and even mold.

CHP designed and installed a 2-Row Controllable ST Mach1 TRAHP® within a Trane Performance Climate Changer Air Handler; 7500 CFM, size 17 indoor unit.

The Thermosyphon Run Around Heat Pipe System was installed into a section of the cooling unit in our facility in Charleston, South Carolina and then shipped to Tampa for connections and charging.

At design conditions, the 2-row TRAHP® system will provide 5.5 tons cooling and 65.5 MBH.
