Carolina Heat Pipe: Long History in Humidity and Energy Recovery

Carolina Heat Pipe: Long History in Humidity and Energy Recovery

innovation in commerical HVAC

Our decades of experience and passion for partnering with our customers make Carolina Heat Pipe uniquely positioned to meet a facility’s dehumidification and energy recovery needs. We listen to each client and work to meet all energy conservation needs on time and within budget.

This isn’t new to us, we’ve been doing this for decades. Founder, Richard Trent was presented with a challenge in 1993 by a friend. The not-so-simple problem? Water beads on windows and incoming air registers. The friend needed a solution.

Trent’s solution was to redo the entire HVAC system since—all new equipment and ductwork as the old system was riddled with mold and mildew, and with his reconfiguration, Carolina Heat Pipe was born. Over the years, that initial solution has evolved into the creation of our own, patented products which provide a simple, reliable energy efficient long-term solution to a requirement for a healthy indoor air environment.

Our goals are simple—to provide facilities with:

• Improved cooling capacity in the summer
• Better waste heat recovery for preheating in the winter
• Reduced load on the cooling system
• Reduced HVAC operating costs—and greater ROI
• Improved overall HVAC operating efficiency

We are devoted to advancing the quality of dehumidification and energy recovery by implementing heat pipe technology in our TRAHP™ products. In that time, we’ve learned a lot about what works best—and we are eager to pass on the benefits of our experience to you.
