Carolina Heat Pipe Travels to New Jersey for Zufall Health Project

Recently, Carolina Heat Pipe collaborated with Andrej Mitev at Aqua-Therm Plumbing & Heating LLC for our first project in New Jersey at the Zufall Health building in Sommerville. Zufall Health’s website says, “We are a nonprofit community health center providing affordable, high-quality health care across the full lifespan, regardless of income, insurance, or other barriers.”  We are proud to have helped in a small way their organization serve the community.

Here, CHP demonstrates the vacuum process of the heat pipe.

Carolina Heat Pipe designed and manufactured a 4-Row Sensible Heat Recovery Thermosyphon Run Around Heat Pipe. The SHR TRAHP was field installed. This system utilizes heat pipe technology to transfer heat energy from one air stream to another safely. By consolidating the performance of multiple heat pipes with interconnecting run-around headers, Carolina Heat Pipe can transfer heat energy without the risk of cross-contamination.

The more detailed information on the CHP SHR TRAHP® system is a simple passive reheat system consisting of two uniquely configured Heat Pipe Thermosyphon coils typically positioned in two opposing air streams. Heat is transferred from the warm air stream to the cooler air stream by the Thermosyphon heat pipe process where refrigerant boils in the warm air stream and condenses in the cooler air stream. This adiabatic process continues as long as there is a temperature difference between the two air streams. This heat pipe process is considered passive – no pump, compressor, or external energy input is required.

The successful installation was made possible by Carolina Heat Pipe’s commitment to thorough planning and depth of experience. From our About Us section, and true for this project: “Our culture embraces a relationship-based rather than a project-based business model. This means we all work diligently to develop a mutually beneficial client relationship based on knowledge and trust, regardless of project size or scope.”
